Having a new gadget, Magellan eXplorist 600 Europe, I had to check available APIs for the device. Luckily there are a few resources maintained by enthusiasts that reveal some of the details. I have my own contribution, a wizard that allows to strip unnecessary layers from existing detail map file (.IMI).
The wizard declares map file processing actions and there is one action currently defined – to modify existing layers, remove and/or reorder drawing priority. Additionally it is possible to extract contents of the map file into individual files.
Modified file is saved into a new map file to be further uploaded to the device.
Installation instructions:
- Download MagellanExploristTools-1.0.0.134.zip
- Exract files from downloaded archive
- Start Start Map Wizard.bat file
To uninstall, delete the files from disk.
